First exams at Uiji-Do Traditional Taekwondo in Heidelberg

On Saturday, 28 February, there was a wonderful sporting event at our taekwondo school.

First, the Minis showed their families what they had already learned in a little "show and tell": jumping, blocking, kicking and memorising movement combinations. Everyone worked very hard and received a reward at the end, which made them very happy.

This was followed by courses and examinations for the children, then for the adults. The trainees demonstrated movement combinations, hyongs, partner exercises and completed a breaking test. Both the children and the adults were delighted with their strong and precise techniques, meaning that the half yellow belt is well deserved.

Afterwards, we celebrated our successes together at the Korean restaurant On.

Many thanks to all Uiji-Do trainees who supported their taekwondo friends on this day!

Many thanks to the headmasters of Kkeungi and Yeoljeong and their students for their support at this event!

We are already looking forward to the next event!

Courses and Christmas party 2025!

At the end of November, it was already Christmas time at Uiji-Do.

Together with befriended schools, this event was like an inauguration for us. The programme was filled with many courses, an exam and various demonstrations. At the end, there was a Christmas surprise for all the kids before we enjoyed a delicious buffet together.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to all the course leaders for the inspiring training sessions, to my new and old students and their families for their support and the wonderful community they have already created, to my long-standing friends for the joy of training, and finally to my family, who always provide active support.

Warm regards,

Anna

trained well you have!

On 11th of October, it was that time again: Julia from Kkeungi Traditional Taekwon Do invited us to a training course in Ludwigsburg. We also celebrated the 10th anniversary of her group and the reopening as her school this year. Congratulations, dear Julia!

With three different training sessions, the programme was very varied. We started with basic techniques (Anna – Uiji-Do), then self-defence (Lena – Taekwondo Mainz City) and then power techniques (Peter - yeoljoeng).

Students of all ages and from all four schools took advantage of the opportunity to train with different coaches and travelled from Mainz, Schriesheim and Heidelberg to attend.

After the strenuous training, we went to the legendary pumpkin festival at Blühendes Barock. The figures made entirely of pumpkins were really impressive and the various pumpkin dishes very tasty.

We are already looking forward to next year!

Great kick-off for uiji-do and first training session at yeoljeong

On 22nd of September, uiji-do Traditional Taekwondo launched in Heidelberg's city centre. 🎉

We would like to take this opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who made this possible! 💕

3 different age groups have started training, and minis, kids and adults are showing up for training with beaming faces.

On 4th of October (after only two weeks of training!), 4 brave kids 💪 joined me on a trip to Schriesheim to visit yeoljeong Taekwon-Do for a training session and to watch the children's exams.

In addition to regular training, there are always extra courses like this. And so, we’re already looking forward to next Saturday. Then we will visit Julia from kkeungi Traditional Taekwon Do in Ludwigsburg for three different training sessions and a visit at the pumpkin festival. 🤜 🤗
